STARK At GITEX Technology Week 2020
GITEX 2020 has been a phenomenal experience for us, we would like to begin by thanking everyone for connecting with us throughout our journey. The annual “Gulf Information Technology Exhibition” that takes place at the Dubai World Trade Centre was conducted physically as well as virtually due to the current pandemic situation.
Nevertheless, the excitement amongst tech geeks and entrepreneurs remained identical. In fact, the virtual world opened up new communication opportunities that were explored concisely before this event. GITEX is a platform that gives equal opportunities to start-ups as well as established companies to grow further via interaction. As GITEX says, “Finally we met, networked, talked, reconnected and restarted business across five extraordinary days, in a safe space.” It was truly an incredible event, hence we would like to share our GITEX 2020 story.
We have been a part of the tech industry for over a decade now, providing services and helping clients reach their desired goals. Pertaining to the same, our primary focus was establishing connections. We connected with companies over various domains, building business synergies and looking for mutually beneficial relationships. We believe in adding shared values, collaborating with a new mindset and trying to fit in each other’s shoes.
In the beginning, we were not sure about how we would proceed with the event, considering this was the first-time GITEX took place virtually. But, it was arranged meticulously and helped us connect with comfort and ease. Though we did crave for all the physical gadget exhibits, robotics, and VR functions. This time around, the reach was significantly broader than real-life meet-ups, this helped improved our traffic-generation – ranking us amongst the top-5 networking companies of GFS (GITEX Future Stars).
There were quick access features like the drop my card and system match that were highly effective. Kudos to all the speakers and exhibitors who contributed towards providing their valuable knowledge during the event.
Despite the different time zones, we were regularly able to communicate and attend all the video calls. On one of those calls, our business development executive Mr. Chetan Gadge spoke with a Russian couple who were interested in our marketing strategies – he said, ” It was difficult for me to comprehend what they were saying due to the difference in language, but GITEX’s provided us with a translator who was remarkably helpful. It felt as though there were no more barriers, this virtual approach was definitely successful.”
